Volunteer Opportunities
In order to ensure a successful National Gymnastics Championships event, we are relying on volunteers for their support. There are a number of opportunities for volunteers to get involved with this once-in-a-lifetime event. As a result, we are relying on hundreds of volunteers to help support this wonderful summer event. Below are general descriptions of the days, times and tasks for volunteers. Volunteer shifts will last approximately 4 hours. In addition, volunteers will receive a 2012 Nationals t-shirt and bracelet, as well as entrance to competition on the day you volunteer.
Thursday, June 28
8 a.m. – 4 p.m. Set-up at Frontier Airlines Center (willing to move/lift/set-up equipment)
4 p.m. – 7 p.m. Team Registration pick up at Frontier (help with teams picking up event/meet materials)
Friday, June 29
8 a.m. – 11 a.m. Team Registration pick up at Frontier (help with teams picking up event/meet materials)
11 a.m. – 3 p.m. Opening Ceremonies event at Summerfest (help with lineup of teams, spectator entrance, ushers at BMO Harris Stage)
Saturday, June 30
7:30 a.m. – 10 p.m. Competition at Frontier (Jobs include: Announcers, Sound/music operators, Award room attendees, Hospitality rooms, Door monitors and more)
Sunday, July 1
7:30 a.m. – 10 p.m. Competition at Frontier (Jobs include: Announcers, Sound/music operators, Award room attendees, Hospitality rooms, Door monitors and more)
Monday, July 2
7:30 a.m. – 5 p.m. Finals at Frontier (Jobs include: Announcers, Sound/music operators, Award room attendees, Hospitality rooms, Door monitors and more)
5 p.m. – 7 p.m. Tear-down at Frontier Airlines Center (willing to move/lift/tear-down equipment)
